Teaching

We offer various courses in the field of IT security for both bachelor's and master's degree programs. In addition, we host the Hacking AG every semester, a voluntary event open to all students, where the topic of offensive security is explored in a relaxed atmosphere.

If you are interested in completing a thesis or study project with us, you can find more information here.

Lab (Room F01.301)

In the IT Security Lab, experiments and practical exercises on IT security are conducted. A network separated from the university’s main network is used, allowing real vulnerabilities and attacks to be tested safely. A powerful virtualization infrastructure provides the computing capacity for a large number of virtualized victim and attack machines. The lab follows a Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) approach, meaning that students use their own devices and can build their own collection of IT security tools.

More information about our lab can be found here.

Hacking AG

The Hacking AG is a voluntary event at the university. It is aimed at all IT students and provides a platform to learn the fundamentals and advanced topics of offensive security in a fun way. The event thrives on active participation and is not a rigid course — engagement is encouraged.
