U.STALL

U.Stall founded late September 2023 from members of a one-time project, we are now an established student team of Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering students at the University of Applied Sciences Esslingen. Having already tested a working prototype, our goal is to fine-tune all the details and develop an optimized ROV for the World Cup in Canada.

MATE ROV Competition April 25, 2026

The MATE ROV (Marine Advanced Technology  Education Remotely Operated Vehicle) Competition is a global annual event that challenges students to design, to build, and test underwater robots to solve real-world problems.

The UAS Esslingen's MATE ROV Competition is an annual unterwater robotics STEM challenge that immerses students in marine technology since 2026. Hosted at the Barbarossa Theme Göppingen, it serves as the regional hub for teams across Europe to demonstrate what they habe learned in the robotics program. Aligned with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, this competition inspires the next generation of youth leaders to champion ocean conservation and sustainabiltiy. It also creates access to new career opportunities in the blue economy, fostering innovation in conservation, Student and teacher workshops will be held at the Unversity of Applied Sciences Esslingen.
